Jessica Bauman (Director & Executive Producer) – is a theater and film director, producer and teacher. She is the founding artistic director of New Feet Productions, where she directed “Into the Hazard (Henry 5),” her own six-actor adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Henry V,” as well as world premieres of several other plays. She was instrumental in the development of WordPlay Shakespeare electronic books, a revolutionary new way to read Shakespeare combining text and video. For WordPlay, she directed multi-camera video productions of the complete texts of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” “Macbeth,” and “Romeo & Juliet.” Her work has been seen at New Georges, Juilliard, the 24 Hour Plays on Broadway, New York Theater Workshop, Amphibian Stage Productions in Fort Worth TX , among many other venues. She is a recipient of an Audrey residency from New Georges, a Rough Draft residency from the Drama League, and was an artist-in-residence at BMCC. As a teaching artist, she has recently worked with ASTEP at the Refugee Youth Summer Acadamy, Epic Theater Ensemble’s Shakespeare Remix, and taught numerous theater workshops in ESL classes at the International Center, Catholic Charities and other community based organizations. She is especially proud to have taught a theater workshop to 40 refugee theater artists in Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya with NGO Film Aid. Jessica is a long time Affiliated Artist and Board Member with New Georges, a Usual Suspect at New York Theater Workshop, an alum of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab and the Drama League Directors Project. She is a graduate of Yale University.
